The Red Keep is in chaos as the Hightowers scramble to find the murderers of Jaehaerys Targaryen. King Aegon II Targaryen smashes his father’s Lego sets in anger. Aemond Targaryen inspects his quarters and realizes the assassins were sent for him.
Otto Hightower reassures Alicent Hightower that those responsible will be found. Alicent says that the child’s pain is over, but they’ve hurt Helaena Targaryen. Otto promises the perpetrators will pay, but Alicent blames herself.
Aegon II Targaryen admonishes the Small Council for allowing the murder to happen. He questions Criston Cole’s whereabouts the night of the murder, but Otto Hightower urges Aegon not to make blind accusations. Larys Strong informs the council that they have found the Goldcloak involved. Otto lays the groundwork for a funeral procession loudly blaming Rhaenyra Targaryen to win the hearts of the realm. Alicent Hightower resists, but Otto wins the council over.
Queen Helaena Targaryen smells the clothes of Jaehaerys Targaryen as Alicent Hightower enters the room. Alicent informs her of the upcoming funeral progress, but Helaena does not want to be involved. She gives Alicent clothes for her son, interrupting Alicent’s discussion of her affair with Criston Cole.
The funeral progress begins with Helaena Targaryen and Alicent Hightower wearing black veils while following the stitched-together body of Jaehaerys Targaryen. The smallfolk cry out with support for Helaena Targaryen and detest for Rhaenyra Targaryen. When the cart carrying Jaehaerys gets stuck in a rut, Helaena has a panic attack as the people clamor for her.
