Rhaenyra Targaryen and Addam of Hull meet with their respective dragons, Syrax and Seasmoke. Though Rhaenyra is cautious, Addam immediately pledges fealty to her and asks to learn how to be a dragonrider.
As the rats take over the Red Keep, Alicent Hightower is stitched up by Grand Maester Orwyle, leaving a scar to match Rhaenyra Targaryen’s. Alicent asks Kingsguard Rickard Thorne to accompany her on a retreat to the Kingswood.
Jasper Wylde tells Larys Strong about the rumor that Seasmoke has been seen with a rider. Larys says this could not have been Rhaena Targaryen because Seasmoke tried to kill her when she tried to ride him some years ago. Larys welcomes Jasper to tell Aemond Targaryen about the rumor, but cautions him that it is likely not true. Meanwhile, the Kingsbros are sent to The Wall.
Lord Bartimos Celtigar chastises the council for allowing one of the smallfolk to become a dragonrider. Corlys Velaryon defends his Queen and suggests they wait to hear her plan.
