The episode begins Jace’s body in the water and dragons flying through the sky overhead. Baela on Moondancer returns back towards Dragonstone.
Jace’s body is brought into the castle. Baela tells the groups that the battle was won.
Rhaenyra enters the room and in shock begins speaking to her son, asking what has he done?

Lorent Marbrand tells the Queen that he failed her and that his life must be forfeit. She asks if giving his life will bring back the life of her son. She asks of everyone if they all have not betrayed their Queen.
Post Battle of the Gullet, survivors reach land and begin moving inland.
There is a search for Corlys.

Rhaena lands with Sheepstealer at The Vale. She meets with Jane of Arryn and requests refuge. She admits she has done a terrible thing but Jane already knows what happened. She refuses to give Baela refuge and tells her to not come back to the Vale.
Post battle of the Red Fork, Daemon and his fellow black army celebrate their defeat of the Lannisters.
Ser Simon Strong arrives to give the news that Jace, The Crown Prince, has died and that he is summoned by the Queen to Dragonstone.
Daemon quickly meets with Alys Rivers who believes the Black’s success at Harrenhal is due to her and demands Harrenhal for herself. Daemon refuses.

Larys and Aegon II continue on their journey in the carriage. Larys peeks outside the carriage when it suddenly stops. Triarchy troops from the Gullet battle are fighting with the Black troops. Aegon II gets out the carriage and violently stabs a soldier dead. They argue where to go. Aegon wants to return to Rook’s Rest. That is where he was seriously injured in the battle.

Lord Corlys is found alive. He tells his bastard sons that he doesn’t have anything left to give them except his name. They accept.

Alicent watches from a castle as Aemond leaves King’s Landing aboard his dragon.

Alicent meets with the leader of the Gold Cloaks and tells them Rhaenyra is coming to take King’s Landing and they must stand down.
