Heleana walks through a courtyard and up to a horse and carriage. The doors to a gate open and she looks around nervously. She hears a woman calling her name.

It is Rhaenyra waking her from a dream. In increasingly agitated tones, Rhaenyra wants to know about her dreams and whether there has been anything about Ormund’s fate, the current state of Tumbleton or that confirms she will prevail as Queen. Helaena replies that she only gets flashes, some blurred and some clear, with the recent one of a grey mare. Rhaenyra gets frustrated and leaves the room.

Alicent arrives at Harrenhal saying she had promised Aemond to come. She gives Aemond updates on what has happened at Queen’s Landing. She says sweet words to him. Before long they begin to kiss and then start to have sex. This turns out to be a dream as he is actually having sex with Alys Rivers. Aemond freaks out and leaves the bedroom and goes outside where he finds the real Alicent arriving.

The Wolves of Winter are on the march with Criston Cole’s head on a stake.

Gwayne Hightower enters Tumbleton on horseback with a few other soldiers. He reports to Ormund that there are 20,000 men a day’s march away, two at most. Ormund says he has a new piece on the board that will bring “the bitch to her knees” but doesn’t explain what it is.

Caraxes lands at the Eyrie and bursts into the main room of Lady Jeyne Arryn. He wants to know where Rhaena is and they argue. Jeyne explains that Rhaena flew away and she is being compromised because of the rumours across the vale of a dragonrider and that in the villages that there is talk of a wild girl living amongst nettles and sheep. Jeyne wants to tell Rhaenyra but Daemon asks for another day and humbles himself enough to say please. Jeyne tells him that there have been sitings of a dragon around Fairweather.

In a field Baela and Addam rest. He asks her to speak to the Queen about his legitimization, but she doesn’t feel she is in good standing with Rhaenyra’s. She doesn’t understand why this is so important to them, and he suggests it could be necessary if they want to marry someone of a higher standing. She confuses what he says and thinks his brother Allyn spoke to him about them.

They see a dragon in the distance. Addam wonders if it is Vhagar and Baela answers no.

Aemond and Alicent re-enter the castle. She explains how she arrived at Harrenhal. She says the same thing said in the dream: You are all I have left.

They exit and come to Ser Adrian Redfort who is standing under the Weirwood tree. Aemond tells Ser Adrian that he’s in his debt but then stabs him in the neck. He tells Alicent that there are secrets here and he can trust no stranger. Alys arrives saying they are in time for supper.

In Tumbleton, Ormund and Daeron have dinner with Corlys, who wants to know what he’s up to. Ormund explains that without the men of Driftmark King’s Landing will sink further into chaos.

Daeron doesn’t understand how that will help with the Winter Wolves about to arrive at their gates. Ormund is not happy with Daeron’s question and talks about becoming a vegetarian. Ormund wants to know what Corlys sees in the Targaryens. Corlys demands to be returned to his cell.

Daeron meets with Gwayne and talks about what good spirits Ormund is in. As if he’s on the eve of some great victory. Gwayne doesn’t believe having Corlys hostage is the mysterious piece on the board. Unlike Ormund, Daeron offers condolences about the death of Gwayne’s friend, Criston Cole. They discuss their options and Daeron says Rhaenyra can keep her crown. They discuss their options and Daeron says Rhaenyra can keep her crown.
